Prepar3D v5.3 jetzt verfügbar!

Es war wieder an der Zeit. Trotzdem erschien die nächste Verbesserungstufe dann doch gestern, heimlich, still und leise. Eben passend zur Adventszeit. Trotzdem dürfte der ein oder andere sich gar auf eine komplett neue v6 gefreut haben.

Schauen wir in den nächsten Tagen, wie die Erfahrungsberichte sind. Die Verbesserungsliste ist jedoch verhältnismäßig lange und eine komplette Neuinstallation wird empfohlen, mindestens sollte jedoch Content und Scenery neu installiert werden.

Prepar3D Client

Ich habe leider P3D doch mittlerweile den Rücken gekehrt. MSFS läuft ähnlich flüssig bei mir, sieht um Welten besser aus….

Es fehlen noch “richtige” Airliner, aber der FBW A320Neo läuft schon ordentlich.

Wenns um Airliner geht gibt es doch eigentlich kaum einen Grund aktuell schon MSFS zu benutzen, auch wenn es schon ein paar wenige, gute Simulationen gibt. Die Szenerie dabei ist doch bestenfalls nur im Abflug und Endanflug relevant, hier muss man dann bei P3D einfach mit Addons nachhelfen.

Gerade mit Active Sky und den Shadern von v5, ohne die TrueSky Wolken, sieht der Sim echt top aus und das Wetter ist von der realistischen Darstellung her auch wunderbar. Nach meinem letzten Kenntnisstand war das reale Wetter in MSFS immer noch ein Problem. (kann sich aber ggf auch geändert haben)

Wer gerne mit Airlinern unterwegs ist, für den sehe ich persönlich aktuell kaum einen Grund MSFS zu nutzen. Ich sage das ohne grundsätzliche Kritik an MSFS. P3Dv5 läuft aber immerhin ohne riesige Updates alle paar Wochen, ohne permanents Datenstreaming und das sehr stabil.

Wetter in MSFS war seit SU6 wieder gut, aber seit SU7 wieder kaputt, weil
es jetzt ergänzend METAR gibt (was gut ist), aber man bei der Wolkenbasis AGL und MSL verwechselt hat. -.- Da ich meist im norddeutschen Flachland fliege, fiel mir das erst spät auf…

Genau das ist bei MSFS2020 alles out of the box dabei und erspart einem viel Geld bei guten visuellen Effekten. Gleiches gilt auch für die Landschaft. Dabei ist es – das ist aber subjektiv zu werten – unerheblich, ob man nur bei Start und Landung etwas davon hat oder umgekehrt. Fliege seit dem Umstieg fast nur noch VfR und warte auf die PMDG 737, 747 und 777. Hatte zwar hin und wieder das Bedürfnis auf die Vorversionen von P3D, aber habe dann doch Abstand genommen es wieder zu installieren.

Dennoch sind die Verbesserungen aktuell beachtlich und man wird den P3D auch in Zukunft im Blick behalten.

ich hab meinen P3D nicht abgeschafft im Gegenteil es macht immer noch großen Spaß und ich habe zuviel Zeit und Geld in diesen Sim gesteckt. Deshalb bleibt er auf der Platte. Nichtdestotrotz fliege ich natürlich auch im MSFS und natürlich sieht vieles “anders” aus. Aber es geht auch schön im P3D wie man sieht….. und nicht nur im MSFS.

Ich bin auch seit April 2021 komplett auf MSFS umgestiegen. Dennoch finde ich die Liste der Verbesserungen interessant zu lesen. Der P3D 5.x hat mir immer gute Dienste geleistet und ich hoffe, dass er weiterhin weiterentwickelt und mit guten Addons ausgestattet wird. Wie hier schon gesagt wurde: es lebe die Vielfalt. 🙂

Komplett neu aufgesetzt und gesehen OH! da ist ja eine neue Version. Direkt installiert nur leider spinnt bei mir das Enhanced Atmospherics. Habe damit Nur 15fps und ohne (im standart Flieger und Scenery) so um die 60 fps. ^^ hoffendlich wird das besser zum nächsten Hotfix

Von 6 Kommentaren bisher hier drehen sich vier um den MSFS, gerade mal einer direkt um den P3D v5.3. Warum können diejenigen, die eh nichts (mehr) mit dem P3D am Hut haben, nicht einfach mal den Mund halten?

Ich finde es klasse, dass es ohne großes Aufheben und ohne Werbetrommel wieder mal ein qualitativ tolles und großes Update gibt. Mal sehen, was es im täglichen Einsatz bringen wird. Die komplette Umstellung auf PBR-Texturen finde ich schon mal riesig!

Und dein Kommentar – offensiv und leicht radikal – macht es jetzt WIE besser? Abgesehen davon ist dein Rückschluss, dass man nichts mehr mit dem P3D zutun hat – wie du hier lesen kannst – nicht korrekt. Sobald man sich für eine Sache interessiert, hat man per Definition “mit ihr zutun”. Also – kein Grund unentspannt zu sein. Wir sind alle wegen desselben Hobbys hier. Das ist eher ein Grund für Offenheit und nicht für puristische Anwandlungen 🙂

So ganz nachvollziehen kann ich die Diskussion zu den Sims nicht – also auch nicht an anderen Stellen im Web. Ich habe nie XPlane genutzt, finde den aber trotzdem gut – die Zibo-Mod habe ich nie live erlebt, finde es aber nach wie vor beeindruckend, was die Macher da geleistet haben. Oder DCS… ein Hammerteil – allein was die Grafik anbelangt. Ich kann allen Plattformen sehr viel Positives abgewinnen. Was ich aber besonders “feiere”: dass es so viele gibt. Ich habe auf dem C64 mit der Simmerei angefangen und wenn man sich umschaut, was heute geht… unglaublich. Deshalb lese ich meist mit einer hochgezogenen Augenbraue solche Diskussionen. Ich denke wir Simmer – egal ob PC, Konsole, XP, FSX, FS9, P3D, MSFS etc. pp – haben doch alle mehr Gemeinsamkeiten, als Differenzen… schon alleine die pathologische Affinität zu einer komplexen Freizeitbeschäftigung wie Luftfahrt ist einen eigenen ICD-10-Code wert 😀 Warum also darüber streiten?

Toller Beitrag! Die Notwendigkeit und den Eifer, andere von der eigenen Simulatorwahl überzeugen zu müssen, habe ich nie verstanden.

Noch ein Gedanke: Wenn wir z.B. alle online fliegen und uns auf dem Boden oder in der Luft begegnen, ist es (zumindest bei den führenden Simulatoren) völlig egal, welche Plattform der/die andere verwendet, man sieht sich dennoch. Genau genommen ist das wirklich Trennende daher eigentlich die Vielfalt der verschiedenen Netzwerke und – vielleicht noch stärker ausgeprägt – die Aufteilung der Pilotenschaft in Online- und Offline-Piloten. Aber das ist dann ein anderes Thema.

Also ich finde P3D nach wie vor klasse, läuft stabil, super AI Traffic dank AIG, Addons gibt es für viele tolle Flughäfen und Freeware ohne Ende. Mit 5.3 läuft alles sogar noch ein Tick besser – ich bleib bei P3D und fliege auch mit dem neuen MSFS….. aber mehr mit P3D auch ohne Internet 😉

Also ich finde die Immersion im P3D/Xplane nach wie vor besser. Damit meine ich nicht die visuelle, sondern die Procedures (Tiefe der Systeme in den Airlinern etc). P3D z.b. mit GSXv2+FSLabs+MultiCrew. Sobald der MSFS mit Addons da angekommen ist werde ich über einen Umstieg nachdenken. Für VFR ist er allerdings TOP und einfach wunderschön! Wenn ich aber mal von EDDF nach VHHH möchte in einer ordentlichen 777 nehme ich aktuell lieber Xplane oder P3D.

Hast Du eine komplette neuinstallation vorgenommen, oder tatsächlich nur Scenery, Content, und Client deinstalliert und neu installiert? Laufen die Flieger von AS, PMDG problemlos ebenso wie die Add-on Sceneries? Danke für Deine Erfahrungen dazu

Weiß jemand, ob sich was an dem Problem mit dem Fehler DirectX DEVICE_HUNG getan hat? Bin deshalb leider gezwungen, v4 zu verwenden.
Würde aber gerne wieder auf v5

Hatte ich erst gestern wieder. Aber, schonmal die TDR fixes in der registry versucht?
Ich hatte gestern gesehen, dass ich nach dem neu aufsetzen des Rechners letztens einen Schreibfehler indem Fix hatte. Davor war ich das Problem in v5 los.

Ja, hab ich schon versucht. Evtl Probier ich es mit der neuen Version & neuem Treiber nochmal.
Ansonsten bleib ich halt bei der 4er. Neue Grafikkarten kann man ja momentan leider nur zu absoluten Mondpreisen kaufen. Und selbst damit kann der Fehler ja bleiben.

Die FSLABS Busse laufen jetzt auch. EA ist jetzt auch voll nutzbar.
So sieht Schnee im aktuellen P3D aus:

Der Effekt auf dem Bus ist von Fslabs, kommt aber nur wenn es im P3D auch schneit
