FSLabs A320 Update kommt bald

Eigentlich hatten die Entwickler von FSLabs vor, ihr Update für den Airbus A320 schon an diesem Wochenende herauszubringen. Nun bitten das Team noch um ein klein wenig Geduld. Die Verzögerung sei “notwendig und nicht vom Team selbst verschuldet” heißt es in einem Facebook-Statement. Das exklusive Update für die Prepar3D v4-Version soll Verbesserungen in den Bereichen Systeme, Sound und Performance beinhalten. Außerdem werden einige visuelle Details, wie Kondensationen und Regen-/Schneeeffekte hinzugefügt. I was going to be very happy to announce that today would have been the day we’d have made live our latest A320-X update release for Prepar3D v4. Instead, I’m going to ask for “just a little more patience” and apologize in advance, because I am not (yet) at liberty to say why this update will have to wait for a few more days. The delay is necessary and outside of our control – those of you who can connect the dots will do so very soon, I am sure!

We are all quite aware that this is a very anticipated release and the excitement is real around the Labs as well! There is good reason for this: The upcoming A320-X update carries several logic, performance and stability improvements, but it also allows us to showcase some entirely new and, if we may say so, very powerful dynamic effects capabilities in Prepar3D v4 that we’ve developed in the past months that are “truly never seen before” ™.

I’d like this excitement to become contagious, so I will not say much more. However, as a way of saying “thank you” for your continued patience, I’d like to share what is included in this upcoming update, as well as a few news tidbits about our upcoming releases.

A320-X for FSX / Prepar3D v3

Once the A320-X for Prepar3D v4 update goes live, we will shift focus into consolidating those of the fixes that are appropriate for 32-bit code into the FSX and Prepar3D v3 versions. We expect to give this update to our beta testers asap so the release can follow shortly after.

A319-X for Prepar3D v4

Beta testing of the A319-X will commence once we’re satisfied that the A320-X for P3Dv4 update has rolled out smoothly. We are hoping to have this in your hands as a general release in a quick time frame. Note that the A319-X will feature the correct A319 performance model and simulate the intricate airframe difference characteristics with accurate engine and flight model data pilots recognize against its larger siblings. The A319-X will also showcase some new exciting visual and functional features we have been working on – we think they’re very cool! – more details on this soon!

A321-X for Prepar3D v4

We have been working on the A321-X on the side and focus will shift on this product about the same time as the A319-X is ready to be released.

A320-X SL for Prepar3D v4

The A320-X Sharklet edition will feature after the A321-X has released. Apart from the new wing sharklets, the product will feature the newer software updates standards that are present on the fleet, such as FMGC, EFCS, FWC, etc.

Concorde-X for Prepar3D v4

Your voice has come through loud and clear! We were already quite convinced that the Concorde-X is very well embraced and loved by our customers, but now we’re even more convinced that you’ve embraced and will support us with production of a new version of the Concorde-X, this time for Prepar3D v4. We wish to focus on redesigning the interior as well as add some missing functionality, but plans on this are still very fluid and can change. Suffice it to say, however, that we have heard you and share your passion for this iconic aircraft!


There are already plans and work in-progress for what we’ve been hinting in past announcements. We will be expanding on this news later on, however. For now, all I am going to say is… this aircraft stays in the air longer than the ones we’ve already developed .

Die Ankündigung zu dem neuen Projekt klingt sehr interessant. Ich persönlich würde mich auf einen A340(-600) freuen, aber aus Sicht der Community könnte ich mir eher vorstellen, dass die Priorität auf dem A350 liegen würde. Oder gar kein Airbus..

Es ist doch fast egal was es wird, da wir das Resultat bestimmt nicht vor 2025 kaufen werden können.
Es soll vorher noch der A319, A321, A320SL und die Concorde v4 fertig werden. Das ist ein massiver Umfang, vor allem die Concorde, welche komplett von Null beginnend erneut gebaut werden soll.

Davon würde ich nicht ausgehen, weil heute viel dagegen spricht, durch deutliche Synergieeffekte innerhalb des Simulationskreislaufs. Selbiges war nach Release der NGX zu beobachten, wenn man bedenkt was seitdem alles von PMDG veröffentlicht wurde.

Dazu kommt, dass die 64bit Entwicklungsschallmauer bereits durchbrochen ist, so keine Verzögerungen, was das Erfahrung sammeln anbelagt, mehr erwartet werden müssen und mit dem folgenden SP für für den A320, die alten Zöpfe zum FSX abgeschnitten werden.

Es würde mich also nicht überraschen, wenn die A320 Familie 2018 komplettiert ist.

Wegen Concorde:
Von bei Null beginnen, steht hier nichts. Im Statement geht es um eine Neuauflage. Mit dem Nachsatz: Konzentration auf optische Verbesserung und Ergänzung einiger Features. Sollte dieses Projekt ein Go bekommen, sollte auch das spätestens 2019 released werden können.

Auf Basis des vorhandenen Airbus Simulationsrasters würde eine Entwicklung einer A350 auch nicht mehr als ca. 1,5 Jahre in Anspruch nehmen. Wäre somit wahrscheinlich 2020 spätestens verfügbar.

Die meisten Entwickler werden mittlerweile verstanden haben, dass es nicht hilfreich ist, eine Roadmap auf die kommenden 5 – 7 Jahre zu erstellen und diese gleichzeitig der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Auch das kann ein Indiz sein, dass man intern weitaus optimistischer ist, was die Realisierung eines Musters anbelangt. 😉

Und dann bestimmt das Update wieder über das sau blöde Support Ticket !!!

Also bisher habe ich die Updates über das Forum geladen, wieso musstest du ein Support-Ticket erstellen? Da wird doch immer ein Link gepostet, Seriennr., E-Mail, Bestellnr. usw. eingeben und man kann das Update laden

Über das Forum geht bei mir nix, obwohl Angemeldet und Registriert. Bis jetzt gab es aber nur für FSX Version Updates. Ich habe beide Versionen und bin bei beiden Registriert. Ich muss jetzt mal bei der P3DV4 Version mal aufpassen.

Nun gut gesetztes Update! Wenn sich hier wirklich was tun sollte in Sachen Performance bei FSLaps zb im Vc wird es der Aerosoft Airbus 320/321 Pro und 318/319 Pro der auch binn 2-4 Wochen Released wird nicht einfach haben. Ich war drauf und dran auf Performancegründen umzusteigen aber nunmehr warte ich erstmal entspannt das hoffentlich bald Erscheinende Update ab.

Binnen 2-4 Wochen? Du träumst wohl 😉
